Abstract
Spinach leaves containing chlorophyll which is quite a lot. Because chlorophyll-containing antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, the chlorophyll has several health benefits for the body. At this lab using Genesys 20 Visible Spectrophotometer instrument that is based on the phenomenon of the absorption of light by certain chemical species in the area of visible light (visible). To do test the color of chlorophyll in the leaves of spinach used two different solvents are distilled water and spinach leaves ethanol.Larutan solvent coupled with distilled water and ethanol in the ratio 1: 10, 1: 20, 1: 30 and 1: 40. Based on the results obtained observations made chlorophyll most Cleaner is obtained by using ethanol solvent concentrations of 0.651 ppm, while distilled water only at 0586 ppm. This indicates that the solvent ethanol is better than distilled water to mengestrak content of chlorophyll in leaves of spinach. Keywords: Chlorophyll levels,Spectrophotometer,Spinach leaves.
