Abstract
Raw materials used in the lab to determine the effect of stirring speed Hot Plate Magnetic Stirrer with bentonite in the adsorption process is using ginger oil. Based on ginger oil analysis test by using GC (gas chromatography), which has been made known that the higher the temperature and amount of solvent so many levels that teradsorb camphene more and more, leading to increased levels of zingiberene in ginger oil. The temperature and amount of solvent camphene Inversely proportional to the decline in oil so that the levels zingiberen ginger in ginger oil also increased. Factors that affect the process of adsorption by bentonite ginger oil using a gas chromatography is the heating temperature, stirring time, the concentration of bentonite, as well as stirring speed. In experiments conducted analysis test solution of pure ginger oil without bentonite obtained zingiberen levels of 9.50%. While levels zingiberen ginger oil with a ratio of the amount of solvent 1: 4 at 50 ° C and 60 ° C with bentonite obtained 11.60%; 11.95%. Zingiberen levels in ginger oil with a ratio of the amount of solvent 1: 2 at 50 ° C and 60 ° C, bentonite was obtained 11.56% and 11.86%. Differences in operating variables such as the temperature of the heating and the use of solvents is very influential on the results of lab work, serves to determine the optimum operating conditions in the binding process camphene, seen from the levels zingiberen of each sample. Keywords : Ginger oil, zingiberene, bentonit, camphene, adsorption
