Abstract
Salah satu sebab langkanya sumber daya alam di dunia ini adalah semakin tingginya kebutuhan minyak dan gas (migas). Sementara tingginya migas tidak diimbangi dengan kapasitas produksi. Oleh sebab itu, dibutuhkan sumber daya energi yang terbaru yaitu turbin angin. Rancang bangun turbin angin ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik daya yang dihasilkan oleh generator magnet permanen. Rancang bangun turbin angin ini menggunakan metode perancangan, perakitan, dan pengujian turbin angin. Pada pengujiannya dilakukan di Pantai Baru, Kabupaten Bantul. Hasil pengujian didapatkan potensi daya pertama dari turbin angin adalah jumlah 3 sudu berdiameter 2,28 m sebesar 4,4 watt didapatkan saat kecepatan angin 2,67 m/s putaran rotor 457 rpm. Potensi daya tertinggi sebesar 65,6 watt didapatkan saat kecepatan 9,2 m/s putaran rotor 604,1 rpm.
