Hubungan antara Dukungan Keluarga dengan Tingkat Kecemasan pada Pasien Sindrom Koroner Akut di RSUD Tugurejo Semarang

Abstract

Patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), beside have physical problems, there are also psychological problem such as anxious, stress, and depression. One of psychological problems found in ACS patients is anxiety. There are various numbers of anxiety, start from mild to severe anxiety, and if not be treated well, it could affect of quality of life among the patients. One of the thigs that affects someone’s anxiety level is family support. This research aimed to understanding a relation between family supports with anxiety level in patients with ACS in RSUD Tugurejo Semarang. This research is a non-experimental quantitative based research, with descriptive correlational design and cross-sectional approach, which involve 70 patients with ACS and used total sampling technique. The result of this research shows that patients with ACS in RSUD Tugurejo Semarang have family support in high category (64,3 %) and the anxiety level is in mild category (40%). The analysis of Chi Square tests shows that there is a relation between family support and anxiety level with p value = 0,000 (α = 0,05) so that the higher is the support given by the family, the lower is the anxiety level of the patients. The need for interventions involving families in the treatment process as an effort to reduce anxiety.
