Abstract

Spektrophotometry is one method of instrumental analysis using the basic interaction of energy and matter. spectrophotometer can be used to determine the concentration of a solution through absorption intensity at a particular wavelength. Spectrophotometer visible called visible spectrophotometry. The definition of visible light is light that can be seen by the human eye. Light which can be seen by the human eye is light with a wavelength of 400-800 nm. Green color can be read by spektrofotomerter visible because its wavelength is contained in the range of 595-760 nm. Cassava leaves contain chlorophyll which is quite a lot. Therefore, chlorophyll contained cassava leaves have not been used optimally usable as a source of intake of antibiotics and supplements. with high concentrations of chlorophyll present in cassava leaves with acetone solvent total chlorophyll of data obtained at most that the solvent ratio of 1: 1 with a value of absorbance at 645 nm is 0.118 and at 663 nm is 0.124 obtained total value of chlorophyll is 3.378 mg / L. Keywords: Chlorophyll, spectrophotometry, analysis cassava leaves
