Abstract

Spectrophotometry is one of the methods in chemical analysis needed to determine the composition of a sample both quantitatively and qualitatively based on the interaction between matter and light. Equipment used in spectrophotometry called a spectrophotometer. Carrot is a root vegetable plant species which are generally orange yellowish or reddish yellow with textures like wood, annuals life, up to 1 meter, can live well in cold regions, or plateau. On the practical determination of glucose in Carrots (Daucus Carota L.) with different variables obtained solvent concentration levels of 1.907% respectively; 1.926%; 1.940%; 1.978% and 1.990%, with a variable ratio of solvent extract and 1: 1, 1: 2, 1: 3, 1: 4 and 1: 5. It can be concluded that the more variables, the solvent used his much greater energy transfer so that the levels produced greater. In the lab variable 2 with a concentration of 100 ppm with a temperature of 50°C, 60°C, 70°C, 80°C and 90°C obtained levels of 1.997%; 1.960%; 1.94%; 1.930% and 1.900%. It can be concluded that the higher the temperature used, the maximum glucose extract that can be extracted. Kata kunci : Spectrophotometry, Carrot, Glucose
