Abstract

Demineralization is an ion exchange process contained in the water (dissolved) in which positive ions/cations exchanged with hydrogen ions (H +) and negative ion/anion exchange with hydroxide ions (OH-) with media ion exchangers in the form of resin, so that the resulting pure water that can be is used as process water. The method used is a method of electrical conductivity. Where this method using a conductivity meter to measure/analyze electrical conductivity and soluble solids (TDS) contained in the water. TDS values in the well water is 269 ppm, and a conductivity value of 539 μs. TDS measurements in demineralized water (product) was analyzed every 15 minutes as much as 5 times. In the minutes to 0 up to 60 minutes to obtain a yield of 224 ppm, 235 ppm, 225 ppm, 225 ppm and 220 ppm respectively. While the conductivity values of 450 μs, 448 μs, 447 μs, 443 μs, and 442 μs. TDS value obtained is directly proportional to the value of conductivity in the water. The longer it takes for the water treatment process well into demin water, then getting down the content of dissolved solids and conductivity values in water.
