Abstract

Water wells artetis many of which are hard, one way to reduce with resin on ion exchanger . This research will analyze the decrease in hardness with resin with a contact time of 15 minutes and the openings of valve 1/3, 2/3, and 3/3. The objectives of this research to investigate the influence of long contact resin in reducing water hardness artetis wells. Methods used in determining hardness is with the komplesometri method. The results of this research is the decreasing in the highest hardness of 61,54% at 1/3 valve in anion resin, the lowest 7,69% at 3/3 valve in kation resin. The conclusion is the samll openings nasal valve, the percentage loss hardness the higher. Keywords : Hardness, Length of contact with resin, decrease in hardness.
