STUDI FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI RENDAHNYA MINAT BERSEKOLAH PADA SMU SEMESTA BOARDING SCHOOL SEMARANG

Abstract

Today the development of education in Indonesia is very dynamic. Currently in Semarang, there are many excellent high schools, including SMU Kolese Loyola, SMU Karangturi, SMU Sedes Sapientiae, SMUN 1, SMUN 3, and SMU Semesta (Suara Merdeka, 2009). From the data held by SMU Semesta, it is found that since the year 2004-2008, the number of students who are not re-register in SMU Semesta is high. This is certainly an interesting topic to investigate why the number of students who do not perform re-registration has increased. Besides the existence of these phenomena, there are research gap between previous research about purchasing intention. We can conclude that this research problem is how to increase interest in school at SMU Semesta. The analytical method used in this study is the method of multiple regression analysis performed with SPSS 16. One of the requirements for regression analysis to test the classical assumption needs to be done. This is necessary so that the resulting regression equation is BLUE (Best Linear Unbiased, Estimator). In addition to assessing the goodness of fit test of a model coefficient of determination, F test and t test The results showed that the school interest in SMU Semesta is high. It can be seen from the perception index value school interest in SMU Semesta is 73,65%. In addition, the results show that the Core Service attractiveness and Secondary Service attractiveness has a significant positive effect to school interest in SMU Semesta.
