Abstract

High population growth was offset by the socio-economic growth and improvement of people's needs so require increasing socio-economic facilities including a trade in the city. In (Martinus Legowo, et al., 2007) this is evidenced by Pfeffermann (2000: 3) which states that the informal sector (traditional markets) contributed 58% of employment and able to free a person from the shackles of poverty. Jombang Market, South Tangerang is a traditional market located in Jombang Village, District Ciputat, South Tangerang City. Traditional market was initially only used as a market selling daily basic needs, like foods, is also evolving into a market that sell clothing and jewelry accessories. However, these developments are not offset by the increase of facilities and adequate space, which is also exacerbated by the state of the physical condition of the market that has not been repaired since the fire incident that occurred in 2004 (Tempo Interactive 02/18/2004) and 2013 (MetroTVNews.com 07.15.2013) and the vagueness of rebuilding the market. To overcome these problems required the existence of a planning and design to Jombang Market.
