ABSTRACT In this analysis, can get a conclusion about discourse analysis (context) and reference from Ajinomoto advertisement. From context we know about setting, participant, norms, genre, key, message, ends, and instrument. But in this advertisement, just get participant, keys, setting, and message. Participants in this advertisement are women and children were asked to act as the figure of a mother and child, then for the second participant is a prospective consumer. and subsequently to the setting in this ad using a kitchen setting that is in a house, with cooking in it. To further the delivery of advertising is very relaxed and eager in it’s delivery. The message of this ad is the promise of ajinomoto when using the product will taste the delicacy in any cooking. The next for analysis of reference of this advertisement was found that personal pronoun 1 is (watashi) 4, (anata) 5, (atashi) 1, (ore) 2, (kimi) 1, (kare) 1, and for the personal pronoun 3 found (watashitachi) just 1. Next for demonstrative pronoun analysis, found first, (are) 1, (sore) 2, (kore) 3, (sonna) 2, (konna) 2, (soko) 1, (kono) 1, koitsu (2). In the analysis of this advertising is not found comparative pronouns in advertisement. Keywords : Discourse, context, reference, discourse analysis, pronoun.
