PENGALAMAN KEHILANGAN (LOSS) DAN BERDUKA (GRIEF) PADA IBU PREEKLAMPSI YANG KEHILANGAN BAYINYA

Abstract

THE EXPERIENCE OF LOSSING AND GRIEVING IN PREECLAMPSI WOMAN WHO LOST HER BABY Preeclampsia is a condition of a decrease organ perfusion due to vasospasm and activation of endothelial characterized by hemoconcentration, hypertension, and proteinuria. If preeclampsia is not treated immediately or interrupted by childbirth, it would causes death in infant. The death of infant would lead into a feeling of loss and deep sorrow for the parents, moreover it can cause trauma. Objective : to dig up the experience of lossing and grieving in preeclampsi women who lost her baby. Method: the qualitative method with phenomenological approach is used in this research. The number of samples is taken by 6 people with using purposive sampling technique. Data were collected with an indepth interview and analyzed using Colaizzi method. Results : this researchresulted two themes. The response when a mother loses her baby is a guilty feeling, disbelief, sadness, crying, screaming, silent and numbness. The mother’s grief response is to blame herself, her husband and God, feeling the presence of those who died, feeling homesick even talk to the person who died, disbelief, crying, dreamy, angry, thinking of events during pregnancy, secluded, came to the tomb, feeling ignored by God, resignedly and get closer to God, sleeplessness and loss of appetite. Suggestion : for individuals in grief expected to improve their spiritual quality by regularlyworship and always surrender to God and especially for the provisions of the nursing care to be more focused on biological, psychosocial and spiritual aspect of the clients.
