Abstract

Background : Brodifakum is a substance that often used as rat poison and disrupt the process of blood coagulation . The study was conducted because it has not found any significant effect on gastric tissue due to Brodifakum . Aim : To know the comparison of brodifacoum administration dose LD 50 and LD 100 of the Anatomical Pathology Rattus norvegicus Gastric . Methods : This study was an experimental study with post test only group design. The sample of this study are 27 Rattus norvegicus which given per oral administration of brodifacoum. Descriptive analysis, the test of normality are using Saphiro-Wilk, and non parametric test were done using Mann-Whitney. The result of analysis are revealed significant if p<0,05). Results : There are differences in the time of death between LD 50 and LD 100. Damage to the gastric epithelium of rat increased by Brodifakum dose given. But, the rise was not significant. There were no significant differences between the picture of the rat gastric epithelial control and LD 50 dose groups ( p = 0.106 ) . There are significant differences between the picture of the rat gastric epithelial control and LD 100 dose group ( p = 0.001 ). There are significant differences between the picture of gastric epithelial rat LD 50 and LD 100 dose group ( p = 0.028 ) . Conclusion : There are significant differentiation of anatomic pathology picture between LD 50 and LD 100 dose ( p = 0.028 ) Key words : brodifacoum, dose, epithelial damage, gastric.
