Abstract

The potential development of tourism in the districts Bandungan is expected to increase employment for the residents of districts Bandungan. The problem in this research is, despite an increase in employment in the tourism industry in the district Bandungan, employment growth in average showing slower growth than the growth of other sectors of only 4.58 percent over five years. The purpose of this study was to, analyze the influence of the number of hotels and restaurants, the number of tourist attraction, the number of tourists and income level on employment in the District Bandungan. The independent variable used in this study is the number of hotels and restaurants, the number of tourist attraction, the number of tourists and income level and the dependent variable is employment. The data used in this research is secondary data derived from the documentation of the Central Bureau of Statistics and the District Bandungan. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results showed that the number of hotels and restaurants, the number of tourists and income level have positive influence on employment in the District Bandungan while the number of tourism has no influence on employment in the District Bandungan. Testing multiple linear regression showed that the regression model is used to predict good for employment in District Bandungan. While employment in the District Bandungan can be explained by the independent variables are the number of hotels and restaurants, the number of tourist attraction, the number of tourists, and the level of revenue of 45%.
