Abstract
“Implementasi (Teknologi) Internet terhadap Kebijakan Redaksional Harian Jogja (Bisnis Indonesia Group of Media/BIG Media) pada Orde Reformasi” ABSTRAKSI Kompetisi bisnis media cetak di Yogyakarta cukup ketat sekarang. Satu sisi, pertumbuhan jumlah pengguna Internet semakin besar. Aspek lain, lemahnya pengawasan berbagai regulasi dalam bidang pers dan penyiaran di Indonesia menjadi masalah tersendiri. Ada dua rumusan masalah. Pertama, bagaimanakah implementasi (teknologi) Internet pada kebijakan redaksional Harian Jogja (BIG Media) pada Orde Reformasi? Kedua, bagaimanakah implikasi atas komodifikasi kepentingan ekonomi (bisnis) dalam implementasi (teknologi) Internet pada kebijakan redaksional Harian Jogja (BIG Media) pada Orde Reformasi tersebut? Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami secara mendalam terkait implementasi (teknologi) Internet dalam kebijakan redaksional Harian Jogja pada Orde Reformasi sekaligus mengkritisi berbagai implikasi ekonomi (bisnis). Jenis/paradigma penelitian ini adalah postpositivistik. Sumber data penelitian terdiri atas data primer dan sekunder. Seluruh tahap penelitian ini berlangsung di Harian Jogja (Yogyakarta), Jakarta dan Palangkaraya selama 6 bulan. Hasil penelitian menegaskan—implementasi (teknologi) Internet pada kebijakan redaksional Harian Jogja pada Orde Reformasi berdampak besar (ganda) bagi kepentingan ekonomi (bisnis) dalam mengokohkan jaringan perusahaan media massa (cetak) di era konvergensi media (konvergensi multimedia). Karena implementasi (teknologi) Internet terbukti sahih mampu meningkatkan nilai efisiensi di berbagai bidang perusahaan media; sekaligus produktivitas (kinerja) dari seluruh wartawan Harian Jogja (BIG Media). Namun sekaligus memicu terjadinya komodifikasi “artifisial”, komodifikasi “natural”, eksploitasi “relatif”, eksploitasi “absolut” terhadap para wartawan/wartawati Harian Jogja—di mana mereka tidak menyadarinya. Peneliti menyarankan agar redaksi Harian Jogja (BIG Media) mengaktifkan kembali e-paper Harian Jogja (BIG Media), dan para wartawan harus memiliki saham perusahaan kembali. Di samping itu, Undang-Undang tentang Pers dan Penyiaran perlu direvisi; sekaligus Dewan Pers, Komisi Penyiaran Indonesia, dan Komisi Informasi harus melebur menjadi satu institusi terpadu. The one hand, the growing number of Internet users increases. Another aspect, weak supervision of various regulations in the field of press and broadcasting in Indonesia becomes a problem in itself. There are two formulation of the problems. First, how the implementation of Internet (technology) on editorial policy of Harian Jogja (BIG Media) in the Order of Reformation Era? Second, what the implications of the commodification of economic interest (business) in the implementation of Internet (technology) on editorial policy of Harian Jogja (BIG Media) in the Order of Reformation Era? This study aims to understand deeply related to the implementation of the Internet (technology) on editorial policy of Harian Jogja (BIG Media) in the Order of Reformation Era, at the same time criticizing various implications of economic (business). Type/paradigm of this research is “postpositivism”. Sources of research data consists of primary and secondary data. The entire phase of this study took place in Harian Jogja (Yogyakarta), Jakarta and Palangkaraya for 6 months. The results of the study affirm-implementation of Internet (technology) on editorial policy of Harian Jogja (BIG Media) in the Order of Reformation Era for major (double) impact for economic interests (business) in affirming the company's network media (print) in the era of media convergence (convergence of multimedia). Since the implementation of Internet (technology) proved valid can improve the efficiency in the various fields of media companies; well as productivity (performance) of all journalists in Harian Jogja (BIG Media). But at the same time lead to "the artificial" commodification, "the natural" commodification, "the relative" exploitation, "the absolute" exploitation against the journalist/reporter of Harian Jogja (BIG Media)—where they do not realize it. Researchers suggest that the editors of Harian Jogja (BIG Media) reactivate the electronic paper (e-paper), and the reporters should have returned the company's stock. In addition, the Law on the Press and Broadcasting in need of revision; well as the Press Council, Indonesian Broadcasting Commission and Information of Commission should be merged into one unified institution.
