Abstract

In General, the conveyor is a mechanical system which serves to move goods from one place to another. Weakness of the conveyor is not having flexibility as a location object is not fixed. On this research made a charging system architecture and packaging automated objects using the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). The purpose of the system is to produce optimum charging system performance and packaging items that are created automatically. This system consists of 3 (three) parts based on the function and purpose of each, namely controllers, input, and output. Control system used is the PLC Omron CPM2A-type with a ladder diagram as an application program on the CX-Programmer. The input being used is an Infrared sensor that is able to detect the presence of objects. The output is dc motor and dc motor gearbox is used as activator of conveyor, and heaters used attach the plastic tool. The test results show that the system works well and has a good sensor accuracy for detecting objects. PLC simulator system design expected this to provide ease of automation system in the study of the industry. Keywords: Conveyor, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Input, Output,Ladder Diagrams, The CX-Programmer, Infrared, Motor, DC Motor Gearbox.
