Abstract
This thesis entitled "analysis of reading comprehension to influence student achievement Indonesian courses, the course of history and library science courses at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Diponegoro". The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between reading speed, reading comprehension and influence the achievement. This study used a qualitative method and uses a case study approach. The object of this study is the reading speed and comprehension, while subjects are students of the three courses are courses Indonesian, History of Science Study Program, and Program Library Science study. Samples of six people who were carrying out thesis. Thus in doing an interview for the right purpose abiding determine the level of reading and see the achievements that have been received in taking courses at the University of Diponegoro. The results showed that reading speed affects the level of understanding obtained. From the results of this study, some facts can be concluded that not only from reading rates affect reading comprehension
