Abstract

Accounting proffesion education should produce a profesional accountant in line with the need of accounting service in the future. The accounting proffesion education program can not produce a profesional accountants certainly will not be sold in the labor market. Given the importance of profesional accounting education for accounting students, then necessary students self motivation to foster interest in pursuing the PPAk. Based on this backround the objectives of this study is to analyzed are carrier motivation, economic motivation, and degree motivation have some effects on accounting students interest to enrol in an accounting proffesion education student interest study was made survey to student of accounting on Economic and Bussiness Faculty Diponegoro Universit. Hypothesis of this study consist of (1) There are significant influence of career motivation to students interest in accounting to follow accounting proffesion education. (2) There are significant influence of economic motivation to students interest in accounting to follow accounting proffesion education. (3) There are significant influence of degree motivation to students interest in accounting to follow accounting proffesion education. This research using directly survey method distributed to 100 respondents of accounting students on Economic and Bussiness Faculty Diponegoro University that have finished auditing subject. Data this research were obtained using questionnaires and analyzed using multiple rgression analysis. The result of this research show that career motivation and degree motivation significantly affect for accounting students interest to enroll in an accounting profession education. It made a self motivation for being an accountant will more competence than just got an accounting degree, so that they will become more profesional and get better carieer on accounting. On the other side, economic motivation has no significant effect for accounting students interest in PPAk. This probaly happen because there is a view that being an accountant and have a good carieer that being an accountant can improve the economic welfare.
