ANALISIS TINGKAT UPAH, PENDIDIKAN, UMUR, DAN JUMLAH TANGGUNGAN KELUARGA TERHADAP CURAHAN JAM KERJA TENAGA KERJA SEKTOR INFORMAL DI KOTA SEMARANG

Abstract

Informal Sector has been believed can raising Central Java’s economy, it can be showed by data book from BPS which mention that 63 percent people in Central Java has been working on Informal Sector. This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the flow of working hours of labours in Informal Sector Semarang Regency. The Independent Variable from this study is wages (X1), education (X2), age (X3) and the number of dependents (X4). The research was conducted in 2 village selected in Semarang Regency, namely Tlogosari Kulon village and Muktiharjo Kidul village, with a sample of 100 respondents from a total population of 174.133 people. Thie Sampling Method for this study was proportional random sampling method. Method of data analysis used in this study is a model of multiple linear regression or OLS with outpouring of hours worked as the dependent variable and the four independent variables, namely wages (WAG), education (EDU), age (AGE) and the number of dependents (JTK). Techniques of data collection using questionnaire-assisted interview (interview). Results from the study showed wage variable (WAG) positive and significant effect of the outpouring of working hours of labours in Informal Sector Semarang (HOW). The number of dependent (JTK) negative and significant effect of the outpouring of working hours of labours in Informal Sector Semaran (HOW). Education variable (EDU) is positive and not significantly effect the flow of working hours of labours in Informal Sector Semarang (HOW). Age variable (X3) positive and not significant effect the flow of working hours of labours in Informal Sector Semarang (HOW)
