Abstract
In this study, the ontology framework for domain travel and tourism has been constructed using data source from twitter . A crawler was built to retrieve data from twitter . This study is based on considerable amount of information on twitter but short enough information so that when doing a search of information , the results are less relevant . With the development of ontologies , the objectives are more relevant search results because the knowledge of the information has been expanded . There are three stages in this research, namely the development of a crawler , ontology development and evaluation using Solr server . The method used in the construction of ontology is a combination of top-down and bottom-up . In the evaluation phase precission average value calculation used to calculate the level of accuracy of search results . The results of this study is a crawler application to retrieve data from Twitter, an ontology framework for domain travel and tourism , and the evaluation of the data searching . The mean average values of simple data precission crawler results by 36.60 % and the 91.50 % of the data ontology . These results indicate that the accuracy of the ontology data is better than simple data from crawler. This ontology framework can be developed for a wider coverage of the domain , and crawlers applications can be developed to retrieve data from another data sources.
