Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara tropis yang memiliki potensi angin berkecepatan rendah maka diperlukan pengembangan turbin angin yang sesuai dengan profil kecepatan angin di Indonesia.Tujuan pelaksanaan tugas akhir ini adalah untuk mencari sudut sudu turbin angin yang tepat agar daya yang dihasilkan maksimal. Metodologi yang digunakan yaitu perancangan alat, pengujian alat, pengambilan data, dan pengolahan data. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah tegangan, hambatan, kecepatan putar sudu turbin, dan kecepatan angin di depan turbin. Data yang dihitung adalah arus, daya aktual, daya teoritis, dan efisiensi. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian antara sudut 0o-90o dengan rentang 5o dapat disimpulkan bahwa sudut turbin angin horizontal 3 sudu yang dapat memberikan efisiensi optimal adalah sudut 15o dengan daya 0.003 watt. Kata kunci: Turbin angin horizontal, airfoil, sudut, daya aktual, efisiensi. Indonesia is a tropical country which has the low velocity of wind potential so needed developt wind turbine which match with Indonesia wind velocity’s profil. The aim of this final project is to find the appropriate angle of horizontal wind turbine’s 3 blade in order to create a maximum power. Methodology that used is design equipment, testing equipment, take the datas, and process the datas. According to testing result between angle 0o-90owith range 5o can be concluded that the angle of horizontal wind turbine’s 3 blade which can give optimum efficiency is angle 15o with power 0.003 watt.The collected datas are stress, obstruction, sentrifugal velocity of wind blade’s turbine, and wind velocity in front of turbine. The calculated datas are current, actual power, teority power, and efficiency. Key words: horizontal wind turbine, airfoil, angle, actual power, efficiency.
