Abstract

Economic development is a good achievement to do by various regions in Indonesia. However, the economic growth , investment allocation uneven in some areas , the level of the low mobility of factors of production between regions , the Human Development Index among the different regions , will eventually lead to inequality and income disparities between regions. The purpose of this research was to analyze affect ofthe rate of economic growth, investment, HDI on income inequality between regions in Central Java Province. This research used secondary data panel of time-series data period of 2005-2012 and cross section data 35 districts / municipalities in Central Java Province. Whereas the approach FEM ( Fixed Effect Model ) were used to estimate this regression models. Regression results show that the variables economic growth and HDI no significant effect on income inequality between regions, whereas investment significant negative effect on inequalities between regions.With the value of R square was 0,9920, it means economic growth, investment, and HDI were able to explained income inequality between regions variations 99,20 percent and 0,80 percentincome inequality between regions can be explained by other variations that were not included in this research analysis model
