Analisis Pengaruh Dukungan Sosial terhadap Burnout pada Perawat (Studi Pada Rumah Sakit Karya Bhakti Kota Bogor)

Abstract

Nurses are one of the professions in the field of human services that are susceptible to burnout. Nurse’s workload is fairly much. Apart from having to pay attention to the physical condition of the patient, the nurse must also consider the psychological condition of the patient. Load and high work demands will have a negative impact on performance. Nurses will experience symptoms of burnout as negative and cynical behavior towards patients. Good social support from family, co-workers or superiors will help nurses to reduce burnout experienced. Thus this study aims to analyze the influence of social support on burnout in nurses. This study was performed using multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS 15.0. The samples in this study were inpatient nurses, which amounts to 63 respondents. The sampling technique that used was accidental sampling. Methods of data collection in this study was through a questionnaire that distributed to 63 inpatient nurses in RS. Karya Bhakti Kota Bogor. The analysis showed that social support have a negative effect on burnout. The coefficient of determination indicates Adjusted R Square of 0.819. The results of the determination coefficient indicates that the contribution social support in influencing burnout in nurses is 81,9% while the remaining 18,1% is influenced by other variables. It can be concluded that social support has a very strong influence in affecting burnout
