Abstract

Global competition to be world class university required college to create graduates who are qualified and high competence. College graduates are expected to compete in labor market. To achieve that, college students have a big role so that required to success on academic achievement. College student are considered to be mature to regulate itself in learning. This research aims to analyze the influence of motivation, learning behavior, self-efficacy, and work status on academic achievement and compare academic achievement between student who work while in college and those who doesn’t. This research using primary data which obtained from distribution of questionnaires to each of the 100 student work and doesn’t work. The technique of sampling used proportional random sampling method. Data analysis in this study using multiple linear regression techniques and independent sample t-test. The result of this research indicates that motivation, learning behavior and self-efficacy have positive and significant effect on academic achievement, while work status doesn’t have effect on academic achievement at Faculty of Economics and Bussiness, Diponegoro University. Beside, there is a difference in academic achievement between students work and doesn’t work where students work have higher GPA than nonworking students
