Abstract

Company nowadays goes altruistic and ignore ethics for competition and consumer demands, however company's reputation is one of the added value that can be owned for competitive advantage. Islamic work ethic is work ethic based on the concept of sharia. This study was conducted to analyze the effect of the Islamic work ethic on job satisfaction, organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior of the employees at Koperasi Jasa Keuangan Syariah BMT Hudatama Semarang. The study used a s sample of 35 employees from Koperasi Jasa Keuangan Syariah BMT Hudatama Semarang. Data analysis methods applied are qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis such as index variable, data quality test, classic assumption test, simple regression analysis, coefficient of determination and significance test of individual parameters (statistical t test). The empirical testing indicated that Islamic work ethic has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, Islamic work ethic has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment and Islamic work ethic has a positive and significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Implication, limitation and suggestion for future research are discussed
