Abstract
Standards for the concrete work is always through the following steps, namely, selection of raw materials, mix design, reinforcement calculation, works implementation and curing. However, cracks and quality deviations are always being a problem. Cracking in general can be from plastic shrinkage, drying shrinkage, shrinkage because temperature increase, and plasticity reduction. Aside from that, due to the movement of construction elements, other problem faced is the quality deviation, for example because of watery mixture. Also frequently voids are found in concrete connections and the corners. That all need to be avoiding in order to prevent failure in the structure. Concrete quality control is a sustainable process that systematically begins from supervision of raw materials, which must meet the standards. Furthermore, the process of concreting must be delivered with a mix design that is planning ration comparison between the materials. After formwork and reinforcement assembly is completed, the stage after is quite important that is the implementation of the concreting. This encompasses concrete mixing, hauling, and concrete mixture placing. Concrete casting should be donewith achieving optimal density by vibrator instrument. After concrete casting, the next stage is curing period where the newly casted concrete should not be subject to the direct influence of the sun and rain. And as well, the concrete structure should not be off from its formwork before the age of 28 days. For purposes of evaluating the quality of concrete and its implementation, it is necessary to do laboratory tests, namely compressive strength of concrete test. The samples are taken after 28 days from the casting process, subsequently compressive strength test results are used to crosscheck whether construction is in accordance with the plan or otherwise
