Abstract

Well managed inventory would give quite good benefit especially on cost efficiency. Economic Order Quantity Model was a method which purpose is find balancing between ordering cost and carrying cost with a view of obtaining the most economical quantity to procure. The trust between a trader and customer allowed backordering condition to occur on a sale transaction. Since those condition, a motorcycle’s spare parts inventory management system which implemented Economic Order Quantity principles and support backorder condition then was developed. These Motorcycle’s Spare Parts Inventory Management System built using Waterfall process, and used PHP as programming languange also MySQL as database management system. Motorcycle’s Spareparts Inventory Management System could help on controlling inventory levels, report making, and gave information about the most optimum order quantity and the next supply arrival time.
