PENGARUH KOMUNIKASI ORGANISASI DAN KOMITMEN ORGANISASIONAL TERHADAP EFEKTIVITAS SEKOLAH DI SMA NEGERI 1 DEMAK

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan komunikasi organisasi dan komitmen organisasi di SMA Negeri 1 Demak dan untuk menentukan besarnya pengaruh komunikasi organisasi dan komitmen organisasional sekolah di SMA Negeri 1Demak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil pengujian hipotesis, atas dua variabel bebas yaitu komunikasi organisasi dan komitmen organisasional dengan variabel terikat yaitu efektivitas sekolah di SMA Negeri 1Demak, dengan statistik non parametrik Rank Kendall terbukti mempunyai koefisien korelasi yang kuat dan signifikan. Hasil uji hipotesis dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa terdapat korelasi antara komunikasi organisasi dan efektivitas sekolah dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,763 artinya korelasi antara komunikasi organisasi dengan efektivitas sekolah adalah positip dan signifikan karena 0,763 > 0,5 seningga dapat diterima; terdapat korelasi antara komitmen organisasional dan efektivitas sekolah dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,697artinya korelasi antara komitmen organisasional dengan efektivitas sekolah adalah positip dan signifikan karena 0,697> 0,5 seningga dapat diterima. Rekomendasi yang diajukan peneliti antara lain: kepala sekolah untuk mengadakan peningkatan komunikasi organisasi dalam hal ini peningkatan kualitas dan intensitas komunikasi antarwarga sekolah, baik dari kepala sekolah terhadap para guru, karyawan dan siswa, maupun sebaliknya. Demikian juga dalam hal komitmen organisasional di SMA Negeri 1 Demak, perlu adanya peningktan kualitas dan intensitas di kalangan warga sekolah dengan memberi motivasi dan sugesti bahwa pilihan untuk bekerja dan mengabdi di SMA Negeri 1 Demak adalah keputusan yang relatif benar, untuk itu bekerja dan melakukan hal yang terbaik untuk SMA Negeri 1 Demak adalah suatu keharusan yang relatif benar. The study aims to describe the organizational communication and organizational effectiveness at the State Senior High School and to find out the influence of the organizational communication and organizational commitment towards the school effectiveness at the State Senior High School 1Demak. The study applied the survey method with quantitative approach. The result of the hypothesis for two independent variables i.e. Organizational Communication and Organizational Commitment with the dependent variable i.e the School Effectiveness at the State Senior High School 1 Demak, with the non parametric Rank Kendall statistic for single correlation is proven to have strong and significant correlation coeffition. The conclusion of the result of the test hypothesis is that the correlation between the organizational communication and the school effectiveness with correlation coeffition 0,763 means positive and significant because 0,763 >0,5; therefore, it is acceptable.The correlation between organizational commitment and school effectiveness with correlation coeffition is 0,697 which means that the correlation between organizational commitment and school effectiveness is positive and significant because 0,697 > 0,5;therefore it is acceptable. The recommendations proposed by the writer are: the school (the principal) needs to increase and improve, qualitatively and intensively, the organizational communication among the school members, i.e among the head master and teachers, employees, and students of the State Senior High School 1 Demak vise versa. Further more, the principal also needs to improve qualitatively and intensively the organizational commitment among the school members by giving more motivation and making them sure that they choose to work at the State Senior High School 1 Demak is relatively quite right choice and therefore it is relatively quite right obligation if they should do the best for the State Senior High School 1 Demak.
