Abstract
Tujuan pelaksanaan tugas akhir ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan membandingkan karakteristik pompa sentrifugal tipe (1DB-35) dengan pengaturan kapasitas metode throttling dan variasi putaran. Pengujian dilakukan dua tahap. Pertama, pengaturan pembukaan katup tekan dengan variasi laju aliran 34, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10 dan 5 (L/min). Kedua, pengaturan putaran pompa dengan menggunakan inverter dimulai dari frekuensi 50Hz sampai 10Hz. Fluida yang digunakan adalah air biasa. Dari hasil pengujian dan analisa data dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada metode throttling menghasilkan head yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan metode variasi putaran yaitu sebesar 32,82 m. Dan nilai efisiensi pada metode throttling lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan metode variasi putaran yaitu sebesar 17,41 % pada laju aliran 20 L/m. Kata kunci : pompa sentrifugal, kurva karakteristik pompa, debit, head. The aim of this final project to know and compare the charactheristic of centrifugal pumps type (IDB-35) with the capacity management of trhottling mehtod and rotating variation. Testing was done in two stages. First, varying the discharge valve with the flow rate 34, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10 and 5 (L/min.). Second, varying speed rotation of the impeler by varying the frequency of the inverter from 50Hz to 10Hz. The fluid used in the testing apparatus is water. From the result of testing and data analysis can be concluded that, in the trhottling mehtod also higher than rotating variation, the value is 32,82 m. And the efficiency value of trhottling method also higher than rotating variation, the value is 17,41 % with 20 Lpm flow rate. Keywords : centrifugal pump,pump characteristic curve, flowrate, head
