Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian lahan untuk berbagai peruntukan pada kawasan pembangunan pelabuhan niaga di wilayah pantai Kaliwungu waktu sekarang dan perubahan pola pemanfaatan lahan akibat pembangunan pelabuhan niaga di pantai Kaliwungu Kabupaten Kendal. Untuk mendapatkan sampel yang mewakili populasi dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 160 orang. Pengumpulan data primer didapatkan dengan cara observasi, tanya jawab dengan instansi terkait dan pengisian kuesener yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat sebagai ‘stakeholder’. Data sekunder didapatkan dari instansi yang berkaitan dengan topik tulisan. Data dianalisis dengan dibagi menjadi analisis keruangan dan kesesuaian lahan, analisis perubahan parameter lingkungan, analisis sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari segi kesesuaian lahan pada kawasan pembangunan pelabuhan niaga termasuk kategori sesuai untuk peruntukan pembangunan pelabuhan, budidaya tambak, industri, wisata dan kategori agak sesuai untuk peruntukan pertanian, pemukiman. Perubahan pola pemanfaatan berupa perubahan tata ruang yang telah ada menjadi tata ruang baru, sehingga terjadi perubahan pemanfaatan lahan berupa sawah dan tambak untuk pembangunan lokasi pelabuhan dan sarana pendukung pelabuhan seluas 32 ha dan sarana penunjang pengairan untuk kegiatan tambak. Kata-kata kunci: analisis pemanfaatan lahan, kawasan pembangunan pelabuhan niaga, pantai Kaliwungu. Abstract The aim of this research was to investigate the land suitability in the construction area for various functions at present and the changes in land use system as the impacts of the construction. The method to collect primary data in this research was observation by interviewing respondents using a formal questioner. The method applied in the research was a purposive sampling to get representative respondents. Respondents included local people surrounding the area mainly people in Wonorejo and Mororejo Village with the total respondents were 160 persons. In order to get other opinions and the back ground of the construction several indepth interviews were conducted with the respondents were the officials from seven-local-governmental offices in the Kendal regency level. Secondary data were taken from several offices that had relation to the research topic. The data were analyzed based on the criteria of the land suitability, the changes of environment (ecosystem) aspects, and social aspects of the area. Result showed that the land in the research area was suitable for several activities, such as port construction, brackishwater pond, industry, settlement as well as tourism but not for agriculture. There was a change in the area’s design planning of the area where the land that used to use for brackishwater pond and paddy field of 32-hectars had been used for the construction and the development of its supporting facilities. A water channel as a new supporting facility for brackishwater pond activities especially for the one that were far from the coastal line in which the water supplay of them was distrupted by the port construction was established.
