Abstract

Beckground: Reproductive health care is very important particulary for FSWs (Femele Sex Workers). FSWs are at high risk to expose reproductive health problems. FSWs are mainly women who sell sexual services regularly as their job. Purpose: The aim of this study is determine the perception of FSWs on healty behaviors to preven STIs. Method: this study is qualitative method, with phenomenological approach. theare werw five samples ia accordance with inclusion criteria. the data colection was using in-depth interviews with semi-stucture interview.Result: The results show that the perceptions of FSWs about STIs include the definition of STIs, sign and symptom of STIs, FSWs' perception on how to prevent STIs throug fithfulnes, condom use and olso personal hygiene maintenence. FSWs perception of healthy behaviors include activities, habits to prevent STIs transmission, obey the rules that apply at brothel house. FSWs perception about the real from of health behaviors to prevent STIs are consuming medicine olderly when ill, using condom olderly, screening routinly, maintaning personal hygiene, including vaginal and vulvae hygiene. FSWs perception about the obstracles in the healty behavior that is devided into two external contraints in the from trouble on costomer and boyfriend refused to wear condoms. internal difficulties were in the from of personal difficulties in the from economical motivation, divorcement, and afraid of losing costomers. Conclusion: perception for solotions to problems in healthy behavior through two types of ways that is positive and negative perception. positive perceptions include flattering customers, adding services and olso provide bonus. negative perception include belief in boyfriends and customer free from STIs.
