Abstract
News about natural disasters that presented by mass media, in fact, never have been objective because in writing those news, journalist must obey news value mechanism. The problem than can be avoided is news about natural disasters more highlight victims from the most popular geographical and cultural proximity. That is strong evidence that news about natural disasters is formulations of commodification and simplification about tragic facts.
