Abstract

Abstrak Changeover adalah pemborosan waktu, sumber daya, dan kesempatan untuk mendapatkan output produksi lebih banyak. Changeover perlu disederhanakan agar mengurangi biaya produksi, mencapai fleksibilitas produksi dan meningkatkan output produksi. Penelitian dilakukan di mesin pressing, departemen TK, PT. Phapros, Tbk. Waktu changeover yang dibutuhkan untuk sekali proses sanitasi produk antara 7–8 jam. Terdapat aktivitas yang seharusnya dapat dilakukan saat mesin beroperasi namun dilakukan saat mesin berhenti. Perusahaan sudah berusaha mengurangi waktu changeover dengan mengatur jadwal produksi, memperbesar ukuran batch, penataan ruangan dan alat, dan pelatihan operator, namun waktu changeover masih tinggi. Tingginya waktu changeover tentunya merugikan konsumen dan fleksibilitas produksi tidak tercapai. Untuk mengurangi waktu changeover dilakukan dengan pendekatan SMED. Inti dari SMED adalah memisahkan antara aktifitas internal dan eksternal. Dengan memisahkan aktivitas eksternal dari proses internal changeover mampu mereduksi waktu sebesar 0,54 jam. Kemudian untuk memperbaiki aktifitas internal changeover dilakukan identifikasi penyebab dominan pada aktifitas internal yang paling lama menggunakan FMEA proses. Dari hasil RPN, ranking tertinggi disebabkan karena masalah pemasangan stempel. Bila pemasangan stempel salah maka akan berakibat pada cacat produk dan trial mesin berulang – ulang. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan merancang suatu alat bantu. Dengan alat bantu ini membantu mengurangi waktu changeover sebesar 2,23 jam. Total waktu changeover keseluruhan dari perbaikan yang disebutkan adalah sebesar 2,77 jam. Abstract Changeover is a waste of time, resources, and opportunities to get more output. Changeover needs to be simplified in order to reduce production costs, achieve production flexibilities and increase output. Reduction of changeover time is very important and need the right way to reduce it. The study was conducted at pressing machine, in TK department, PT. Phapros, tbk. Changeover time required to completely products sanitation between 7-8 hours. There are activities that should be done when the machine is running, but done when the machine stops. The company has been trying to reduce changeover time by adjusting production schedules, increase the batch size, arranged the rooms and equipment, and operator training, but the changeover time still high. The high of changeover time is certainly detrimental to consumers and flexibilities of production doesn’t reached. To reduce changeover time performed by SMED approach. The essence of SMED is separating internal and external activities. By separating the external activities of the internal processes can reduce changeover time 0.54 hours. Then to improve the internal activities, we need to identify the dominant causes of the long internal activities using FMEA process. From the results of the RPN, the highest ranking caused by the stamp installation. If the stamp incorrect installed to machine, it lead to defect and trial repeatedly. Solve the problem can be done by designing a tool. With the tool helps reduce changeover time of 2.23 hours. The overall changeover time can be reduced are 2.77 hours.
