Abstract
ABSTRAK PT Indonesia Power UBP Semarang merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak di bidang pembangkitan dan transmisi listrik, sehingga dalam setiap kegiatan proses produksinya memilikii potensi bahaya. Untuk mencegah terjadinya kecelakaan kerja, maka PT Indonesia Power UBP Semarang menerapkan program keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja. Iklim keselamatan akan mempengaruhi persepsi keselamatan dari individu (pekerja) sehingga jika manajemen berkomitmen terhadap keselamatan pekerja maka karyawan juga akan menunjukkan komitmen terhadap keselamatan yang ditunjukkan dari perilaku keselamatan di tempat kerja. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh safety climate terhadap safety behavior pekerja di PT Indonesia Power UBP Semarang. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, pertama-tama diusulkan suatu model yang terdiri dari sembilan faktor safety climate dan satu faktor safety behavior. Model penelitian kemudian diuji dengan metode analisis regresi linier berganda. Data diperoleh dengan cara menyebarkan 120 kuesioner kepada pekerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai adjusted R square sebesar 46,1%. Uji F dengan tingkat signifikansi <0,05 yang menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor safety climate berpengaruh secara serempak terhadap safety commitment, employee’s safety commitment, dan emergency response. Berdasarkan analisis regresi linier berganda, variabel yang memiliki pengaruh paling besar yaitu variabel manager’s safety commitment dengan koefisien sebesar 0,283. Hal itu berarti pihak manajemen PT Indonesia Power UBP Semarang harus meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan behavior pekerja. Akan tetapi berdasarkan uji t, variabel yang memiliki pengaruh secara signifikan hanya variabel communication & support, adequacy of procedures, work pressure, personal protective equipment, safety rules, manager’s safety variabel manager’s safety commitment untuk meningkatkan safety behavior pekerja. ABSTRACT PT Indonesia Power UBP Semarang is one of manufacturing company engaged in the generation and transmission of electricity, that in any process of production has the potential of dangers occurence.Therefore, PT Indonesia Power UBP Semarang implement safety and health programs to prevent accidents. Safety climate will influence worker’s perception of safety.having said that, if the management have commitment towards worker safety so that the workers will commit towards safety conducting by safety behavior in the workplace. This study aimed to determine how much safety climate influences safety behavior of workers at PT Indonesia Power UBP Semarang. To achieve this goal, a model consist of nine factors of safety climate and one factor of safety behavior was implemented. Then the research model was tested by multiple linear regression analysis method. The data was obtained by distributing 120 questionnaires to workers. The result shows that the adjusted R-square is 46.1%. The F test with significant level of <0,05 shows that the safety climate influences the safety behavior of workers. Based on the t test, the variables that have an influence significantly are variables of communication & support, adequacy of procedures, work pressure, personal protective equipment, safety rules, manager's safety commitment, employee's safety commitment, and emergency response. Based on multiple linear regression analysis, the most dominant effect to safety behavior is manager's safety commitment. That means the management of PT Indonesia Power UBP Semarang should improve their safety commitment to service increase workers’ safety behavior.
