STUDI POLA PENGELOLAAN SUMBER DAYA AIR TERPADU WILAYAH SUNGAI PEMALI COMAL PROPINSI JAWA TENGAH

Abstract

Pemali Comal river basin is located in Brebes, Tegal, Pemalang, Pekalongan, and Batang district, Central Java Province. The objectives of study is to set up the water resources management pattern, fulfil water requirement according to the quality and quantity, time and location based on available resources.Conservation, water resources utilization, and controlling destructive water, the aspects of water resources management, were analyzed and simulated based on secondary data to obtain the result related to water resources management. Analyzing and simulating process were carried out by using Arc view 3.3, HYMOS 4, and RIBASIM 6.33 softwares. There are two critical sub river basins; Comal and Sengkarang, and four nearly critical sub river basins; Kupang, Cacaban, Gung, and Sragi Baru. Pemali Comal river basin has available water is about 10.75 x 109 m3/year but the water utilization is still about 1.9 x 109 m3/year (17.7 %). Water requirement (irrigation, DMI) haven’t been service enough by water supply capacity. The location of flood prone areas are spread out in downstream of nearly critical and critical sub river basin. Water resources management is carried out by conserved catchment area, upstream area of river basin especially critical sub river basin and reconsidered suitability area, increased supply capacity, involved stakeholder and public in planning, construction, supervision, evaluation of water resources management activities
