Children Literacy dalam Meningkatkan Minat Baca Anak.

Abstract

This paper describes the role of reading materials to the children's interest in reading. Theoritically, interest in reading is also influenced by the reading materials. It is the interesting to study the influence of children literature to the development of children's reading interest. The 'child' in this study is limited to the second offspring of a married couple, aged 0-17 years, while the term 'literature' indicates the ability of professional authors in writing with a certain style and a high aesthetic value of art. this study shows us that bright-colored pictures, layout designs, and textured pages are able to stimulate the child to open and read the book. But there are other factors that further decide children reading interest, i.e. the appropriate reading level to children's chronological age, parents support in introducing books in early age, bonds of affection and communication between parents and children in reading activities. keyword: children literature, reading interest.
