Abstract
Based on the source language, mixed code in the discourse of regional news in the Suara Merdeka daily newspaper can be divided into two types, namely the cognate mixed code and the noncognate mixed code. The cognate mixed code in the discourse of regional news in the Suara Merdeka daily newspaper can be either words, phrases, baster form, idioms, and clauses. Key words: mixed code, cognate, the discourse of regional news, Suara Merdeka.
