Abstract

Situasi sekarang semakin disadari pentingnya faktor keamanan pada sebuah konstruksi terutama pada pembebanan kejut. Pengujian impak merupakan analisa bahan untuk mengetahui ketangguhan bahan menerima beban dinamis karena bahan-bahan yang akan digunakan untuk membangun sebuah struktur maupun fungsi lainnya harus mampu menahan beban yang akan diterimanya. Tujuan dari penulisan proyek akhir ini adalah agar mahasiswa mampu mendesain dan membuat alat uji impak tipe charpy, mengetahui mekanisme kerja, dan menganalisa performa alat sekaligus mengkalibrasinya berdasarkan energi impak spesimen. Metodologi yang diterapkan mempunyai empat poin utama, yaitu perancangan konstruksi, proses pabrikasi, pengambilan data, uji performa dan kalibrasi. Dari uji performa alat uji impak metode charpy kapasitas 240 Joule, kuningan mempunyai energi impak rata-rata 22,16 Joule dengan standar deviasi ± 1,620 Joule, stainless steel 82,08 Joule dengan standar deviasi ± 6,536 Joule, dan baja 173,47 Joule ± dengan standar deviasi sebesar 12,941 Joule. Kalibrasi dilakukan berdasarkan alat yang lebih standar di Lembaga Inspeksi Migas-Cepu. Dengan membandingkan data keduanya dapat dinyatakan standard error mencapai 4,59 %. Impact test is an analysis of the material to determine the toughness of the material received dynamic loads due to the materials that will be used to build a structure or other functions must be able to withstand the loads that will be received. The purpose of this thesis is that students are able to design charpy impact machine, knowing how does it mechanism, and performance analysis within calibration based on impact energy of specimens. The methodology applied has four main points those are construction engineering, process manufacturing, data retrieval, performance analysis and calibration. From the performance test methods Charpy impact test equipment capacity of 240 Joules, brass impact energy has on average 22,16 Joules with a standard deviation ± 1,620 Joules, stainless steel 82,08 Joules with a standard deviation ± 6,536 Joules, and then steel 173,47 Joules ± with standard deviation of 12,941 Joules. Calibration is based on more standard charpy machine in Lembaga Inspeksi Migas-Cepu. By comparing both data can be expressed standard error reaches 4,597%.
