Abstract

Sago waste has been taken from processing of sago starch. Solid waste of sago that has been accumulate for years, will be decompose into compost. Utilization of sago waste industrial in the village of Plajan very minimal. Currently, strawberry is a pilot plant in the village of Plajan, that can be grown in planting medium with polybags. Strawberry cultivation is usually with planting medium a mixture of husk fuel and manure, which in this experiment used as a control (treatment P0). The treatment in this experiment use planting medium with mixture of sago waste compost with cow manure in different comparison (1:1, 2:1, and 3:1) as the treatment (P1, P2, and P3). The Nutrients of strawberry plant get from planting medium composition. Planting medium is important environmental factor for plant growth so that plants get receive enough nutrients and water in the process of growth. The purpose of this experiment is to observe the effect of the use of sago waste compost mixed with cow manure on the growth of this strawberry plants in the village Plajan. Based the results of F treatment indicate that there is influence of using mixture of sago waste compost with cow manure the height of strawberry plant. BNT test results continued with a significant level of 95% indicates that growth of height strawberry plant in treatment P1 (sago waste compost: cow manure (1:1)), treatment P2 (sago waste compost: cow manure (2:1)) and treatment P3 treatment (sago waste compost: cow manure (3:1)) faster than P0 treatment (chaff: cow manure (2:1)).
