The study aims to find out correlation between attachment to marital adjustment. During the first and second marriage couples usually have to adjust each other, to their family members and friends. The most basic adjustment problem was first encountered by the new family is adjusting to the spouse. Subject of the study is 100 members of the association of mothers PTPN IX Sub Unit Kebun Sukamangli Sukorejo. This study used a scale of attachment and marital adjustment. The results showed that there is a correlation between attachment variables with marital adjustment in indicated by a score correlation rxy = 0.541 and p = 0.000 (p <0.05). The higher of attachment, the more high marital adjustment, and conversely, the lower of attachment, the more low of marital adjustment. The coefficient of determination R= 0.292, meaning attachment variables contribute effectively at 29.2% on the variable marital adjustment to the members of the association of mothers PTPN IX Sub Unit Kebun Sukamangli Sukorejo. Parents' relationship with their children can affect the individual in adapting to the approval of our parents because the child will develop a sense of security, confidence, appreciation resulting in good adjustment. Adjustment will apply also when someone is mature, have relationship and in the process of adjustment in marriage. Keywords : attachment, marital adjusment, mothers, community members
