Abstract

Background Each person has the right to obtain medical care from health care facilities in order to reach the highest possible level of health. A hospital must have a satisfactory health care facilities that do not occur in actual conflict between patients and health professionals. No exception in the field of medical emergency where the existing health facilities must appropriate with the standards of quality, safety and feasibility in accordance with statutory provisions. Aim To analyze the completeness of health care facilities and medical equipment at the Emergency Unit, RSUP Dr. Kariadi Semarang Method This study was observational research using surveillance checklist. The samples were all health care facilities, medical equipment and the drugs included. all samples were carried out data collection directly and then processed using descriptive statistics and displayed in the form of tables and diagrams. Results In the study of health care facilities, obtained that 92.5% of health care facilities were available in an emergency department of Dr. Kariadi hospital while 7.5% still not available in the emergency room. In the study of all medical equipment in the Emergency department of Dr. Kariadi hospital , obtained that as many as 82 pieces, or 81.2% equipment were complete, qualified and worthy, while 2 pieces or 2% were complete but the equipment was not feasible and 17 pieces, or 16.8% of equipment still incomplete. In the research toward drugs in the Emergency department of Dr. Kariadi hospital, obtained that as many as 44 samples (97.8%) were qualified and worthy, while 1 sample (2.2%) was still not complete . Conclusion Health care facilities in the emergency department of Dr. Kariadi Semarang were fully in accordance with standard emergency care, but there were some facilities still need to be completed and carried out repairs while the drugs were already qualified, completeness and eligibility.
