KUALITAS PENGGUNAAN ANTIBIOTIK DI BANGSAL BEDAH DAN OBSTETRI-GINEKOLOGI SETELAH KAMPANYE PENGGUNAAN ANTIBIOTIK SECARA BIJAK

Abstract

Background : Inapropriate use of antibiotic in hospital result in antibiotic resistance. RS Dr.Kariadi held campaign of prudent use of antibiotic for the doctor in Surgery and Obstetric-Gynecology (Obgy) Ward through Pilot-Project- Program Pencegahan Pengendalian Resistensi Antibiotik (PP-PPRA) / Pilot-Project- Prevention and Control Antibiotic Resistance Program to increase prudent use of antibiotic Aim : Measure the quality of antibiotic use in Surgery and Obstetric-Gynecology Ward after the campaign Methode : This study used prospective observasional analitical desaign in Surgery and Obgy Ward. Subjects were patient who operated with clean or clean-contaminated surgery. Clinical information of patient were taken from medical records. Analysis data was performed using chi square test. Quality of antibiotic was reviewed by two reviewers and scored using Gyssens criteria. Results : Quality of antibiotic use with Gyssens 0 ( indicated and correct timing)and I (indicated) in Obgy Ward is 30,3% and 3.6% ; in Surgery Ward is5,4% and 7,2%). Quality of antibiotic use with Gyssens V (not indicated) in Surgery Ward is 56,9% and in Obgy Ward is 48,2%. Conclusion : Quality of antibiotic use in Surgery ward and Obstetric-Gynecology ward is still inappropriate Keyword : quality of antibiotic, Gyssens criteria , Surgery ward, Obstetric-Gynecology ward
