Abstract

Food and drink that are produced by a home industry have to be given attention from a government and a producer in order to control quality and safety of it. Sub Departement of Community Empowerement and Environmental Health of Semarang City Health Office has an authority to monitor food sanitation. Based on the previous study, the used information system had not resulted accurate, easy, timely, and relevant information yet, Therefore, it needs to develop information system that can support a decision for monitoring of Food Sanitation Program. Aim of this reseach was to develop information system of a home industry food production for supporting the monitoring of Food Sanitation Program at Sub Departement of Community Empowerement and Environmental Health of Semarang City Health Office. Development of system was based on the steps of FAST (Framework for the Application of System Techniques). Research design was one group pretest-posttest. Number of respondent was four persons. Variables of research were accurateness, ease, preciseness and time, and relevant information. Analysis of data used Content Analysis and Descriptive Analysis. Result of descriptive analysis shows that the average of quality of information before developed. New information system can support the monitoring of Food Sanitation Program at Sub Departement of Community Empowerement and Environmental Health through monitoring of a place for food processing and controlling of an additive food usage.
