Perilaku Bertani Padi Sawah Yang Mitigatif Terhadap Perubahan Iklim di Kabupaten Bima

Abstract

ABSTRACT Global climate change is one of the important environmental issues worldwide. This causes a negative impact on various sectors of life. Climate change is primarily due to the impact of global warming from human activities. Catch of global climate change, the Government of Indonesia has committed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions nationally by 26% by 2020 (Bappenas, 2010). Therefore, the mitigation of climate change is very important in any sector of life in many parts of Indonesia, including Bima regency – NTB. The agricultural sector is the sector's third largest emitter of greenhouse gases after the energy and industrial sectors. In agriculture, rice cultivation contributes greenhouse gas emissions by 70.9% and accounted for 76% of the total methane emitted agriculture. This study aims to 1) Assess the suitability of rice farming behavioral aspects of mitigation of climate change, and 2) to analyze the factors that influence patterns mitigatif farming to climate change in rice cultivation. The research method used is descriptive method with the quantitative approach. The results showed that the overall behavior of rice farming in Bima regency is quite in keeping with the pattern mitigatif farming to climate change. Then the socioeconomic factors that were examined had no effect on the behavior of farming. Key Words : Bima, Climate Change, Mitigation, Rice Farming.
