PERBEDAAN ASUPAN ENERGI, PROTEIN, AKTIVITAS FISIK DAN STATUS GIZI ANTARA LANSIA YANG MENGIKUTI DAN TIDAK MENGIKUTI SENAM BUGAR LANSIA : Studi Kasus di Instalasi Geriatri Paviliun Lanjut Usia Prof. Dr. Boedhi Darmojo RSUP Dr. Kariadi Semarang

Abstract

Background: “Senam Bugar Lansia” is an exercise which can be easily followed by elderly to improve the health and fitness. The aim of the study was to analyze the differences in energy and protein intake, physical activity and nutritional status among elderly people who participate and not participate “Senam Bugar Lansia”. Methods: The study was an observational study using cross sectional approach. The subjects were 30 elderly outpatient visit day clinic of Geriatric Ward, Dr. Kariadi Hospital Semarang who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Subjects were divided equally into two groups: elderly people who participated and not participate the “Senam Bugar Lansia”. Analysis of data using Independent T Test and Mann Whitney U Test with the SPSS program for Windows version 17.0. Results: There were significant differences in physical activity (p=0,045) and nutritional status (p=0,004) in both groups of subjects. However, there were not significant differences of energy intake (p=0,2378) and protein intake (p=0,110). Conclusions: Physical activity and nutritional status in the group who participate and not participate “Senam Bugar Lansia” differ significantly.
