Persepsi Komunitas Pecinta Jepang Terhadap Kualitas Siaran dan Event JIKAN di RRI Semarang

Abstract

Some radio station in Semarang has broadcast which represents the Japan culture, includes RRI Semarang. The RRI Semarang is a public broadcast institution of Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) in Semarang. JIKAN in RRI Semarang catches attention with a distinguish concept from other program in the station. JIKAN was established in 2008, along with the enthusiasm from the listeners, JIKAN event was being concept in 2009, which now has been an annual event in RRI Semarang. JIKAN was actually established due to great quantity of public devotees to Japan culture. JIKAN is an appreciation from RRI to those communities. This research based to descriptive quantitative method. In the implementation, researcher used questionnaire. The objective from this research is to know the perceptions of Japan lover community to JIKAN’s broadcast quality RRI Semarang and the event. Broadcast quality was measured from element of conflict success, duration, consumer likes, consistency, energy and timing. JIKAN broadcast quality has a result 91% for good category. Pre event activities, event packaging, time, location, broadcaster, guest star, and voice quality of JIKAN event are responsible to the perception. Based on the result, JIKAN event has a good quality with percentage 95.5%. In the other side, was found weakness from this program and event, particularly from the broadcaster and the event committee, because those are important role, which any lack would be very affect to JIKAN itself. Employs the public trend, JIKAN has been catching attention from Japan lover community in Semarang. A good management from the programmer and the committee produces a good quality program, it delivers a positive perception from the listeners and the participants, responsible to the institution, RRI Semarang. keywords : quality of radio broadcast, quality of event, perception of radio listeners
