Pengaruh Kualitas Komunikasi Ibu-Penyuluh ASI dan Tingkat Pendidikan Ibu Terhadap Tingkat Pengetahuan ASI Eksklusif

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to examine the influence of communication quality between mom with breast milk counselor and mom’s education level to the level of exclusive breast feeding knowledge. This research based on the decrease number of exclusive breast feeding in Indonesia. Using the Relationship Enhancement Method, this research explain the relations between communication quality in level of knowledge. Type of research that has been used is Explanatory Research, that aims to explain causal relationship between variables were examinated by testing the hypothesys that have been formulated. The result shows there are positive and significant relationship between communication quality between mom with breast milk counselor and mom’s education level to the level of exclusive breast feeding knowledge. But some respondents declare that they are less active in participating in counseling. According to respondent, the counselor is less friendly, they are rarely smiles and rarely give compliment to moms. Based on that result, this research recommends the counselors to be more friendly and learn about persuasive communications, moms should be more open to counselor, so they can help to solve moms problem.
