HUBUNGAN ANTARA IKLAN ROKOK DENGAN SIKAP DAN PERILAKU MEROKOK PADA REMAJA (Studi Kasus di SMA Negeri 4 Semarang)

Abstract

Background: Smoking is a behavior which can easily to find in many places. At the moment, smoking is not only consumed by adults, but also adolescents and even the children. They have started to recognize and treat smoking cigarettes based on the influence of cigarettes the advertising that appear on television and the media. The aim of this study was to analyze the correlation between the attitudes and behavior advertising consumption of tobacco among adolescents (students of SMA Negeri 4 Semarang). Methods: The design o this study was an an observational and cross sectional approach. The research was carried out in SMA Negeri 4 Semarang. The simple random sampling was chosen as sample method, and the total numbers of the respondents was 55 students. Analysis of the data were processed using SPSS for Windows with a significant test p < 0,05. Results: This study found that 56.4% of students have a not good attitude, and 38.2% of the students was a smoker. Analysis of the correlation between advertising against smoking in students' attitudes SMA 4 Semarang was found significant (p =0,002). Analysis of the correlation between advertising on smoking behavior in students SMAN 4 Semarang was found significant p value is 0,311. Conclusion: The category was not a good attitude, and behavior of smokers have a greater amount than others, there was a correlation between cigarette advertising with attitude, and there was no correlation between advertising and smoking behavior in adolescents (students of SMA Negeri 4 Semarang).
