Abstract

Produce of rubber from year to year always experiences improvement, Hence the waste of tremboso has increases. This ever greater problem because of tromboso cannot loose to easily if in letting only. Therefore, required to effort change waste tromboso becomes things more useful. One of them is to make liquid fuel by exploiting tromboso. In tremboso there is macromolecules carbon chain which can be turned in to short chain hydrocarbon passed process cracking to apply zeolite Y catalyst or ZSM-5 comersial. Selected process cracking to used catalyst because catalyst and reactor correctly can control yield product, distribution of product, and reduced temperature and reaction time causing costs effective production. The catalytic pyrolysis process carried out in packed bed reactor at various of temperature and weight of catalys by putting down the tremboso between HY and ZSM-5, where HY is placed in underside and ZSM-5 is on the top reactor. The gas product was condensed to liquid product. The highest liquid yield obtained from catalytic pyrolisis which is 7 ml, comes from 40 gr tremboso and catalyst HY and ZSM-5 both are 1,5 gr at temperature 500ºC. Result of attempt which in the form of liquid product analysed to use analysis chromatography gas (GC). The reaction temperature at 550ºC and 1 gram of catalyst weight are optimum condition, because under this condition the high gasoline range are obtained. The concluded of this study is the tremboso could be converted into liquid fuel.
