Abstract

Waste is a cast off which produced from a process production both industrial or domestic, who presence at time later and certain places is not desired to environment because it has not economical value. Ammonia waste produced from various industy, which one of them is fertilizer industry. Ammonia waste who throw away direcly without an extension treatment process can be damaging for humans because it can be consumed. The aims of this research is to process ammonia waste so that safe to throw away to environment surroundings, To know the percentage of ammonia reductions in liquid waste with an aerobic activated sludge and chloropyta micro alga and Ceratoptyllum demersum processes.For fixed variabel consist of : chloropyta microalga volume = 1 liter, Ceratopyllum demersum weight = 30 gram, activated sludgevolume = 1liter.CO2 flow rate = 0,1 liter/menit, aeration time with an air in activaed sludge bacin = 5 hours, CO2 aeration in algae bacin = 7 days. And variable changes consisting of: ammonia value = 300 and 500 ppm, urea value = 300 and 500 ppm, phosphat acid value =1 and 2 ml, type of plants = chloropyta micro alga and Ceratopyllum demersum. In this experiment showed that the value of ammonia reduction was ammount : 90,27 %,91,2 %,90,5 %, 88,84%. Nitrat and nitrit produced ammount = 42,03 ppm, 43,18 ppm, 42,16 ppm, 43,38ppm and 17,59 ppm, 18,79ppm, 15,19 ppm, 17,54 ppm.
